“It takes only one buyer to buy a property and I want to find him as quickly as possible.”
What brought you to real estate brokerage?
It comes from a passion that goes back to my childhood. I grew up in this beautiful profession since my father owned many income properties in the Great Montreal area and I actually used to do renovation work for him. I started investing in real estate myself at the age of 25 and realized that this was exactly what I wanted to do. So, three years ago, I made the jump into brokerage and haven’t looked back since.
Can you explain your banner choice?
I chose Royal LePage because it’s the oldest real estate brokerage banner in Canada – it’s almost 100 years old – and I believe that this brings a sense of security to my clients. I am the proud owner of the Royal LePage du Quartier agency and I have 50 professional brokers working with me directly, which represents a major advantage for my clients.
How do you build a bond of trust with your clients?
I love my clients and the way I build my relationship with them is by being honest. Indeed, the most important lifetime investment for most of us is our home, so I feel that by being honest, by providing good service and by being flexible, I can serve my clients well. This explains why 50% of my business comes from client referrals, and that is very dear to me.
Tell us a few words about your career.
I started working in sales with Bell Canada where I learned truly important professional values. I quickly joined the Bell marketing department, even before finishing my degree in marketing and finances at UQAM. I was then recruited by a telecommunications company located in Dubai. At the age of 31, I switched to finance and became the general manager of a brokerage firm. When my father became sick, I came back to Montreal where I started to work for myself. And today I work in real estate brokerage but it’s actually not a job but a passion.
What is your secret when you want to sell a property?
The secret to sell a property is visibility. Nowadays, 87% of buyers search for a property by looking online first so I use all the tools I have on hand to promote the property: Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and even Google Maps. I want to make sure the whole planet knows that this property is on the market. Also, it’s important to use professionals to do the video and the photos of the property for sale so that it is shown to its best advantage. There might be a lot of brokers out there, but what counts the most is selling your property. And that’s what I’m good at!
